MAKING NOISE IN 2012

The Micro Studio, as the name implies, is small, but that doesn’t mean we don’t get huge sounds! This year some great new work has been happening.

I have been collaborating with folk duo Oakes & Smith as they work on their debut full length album, on which I’ve had the opportunity to play every stringed instrument I own! Recorded at The Isokon in Woodstock, NY, we’ve added overdubs at the Micro Studio. I also had the pleasure of performing & recording guitar tracks and mixing their debut self-titled EP. In addition, I am working heavily with my dear friend Carrie Grossman, co-writing and co-producing some songs for her upcoming release “Touch The Sky.” We were graced with the presence of Steve Gorn, world renowned Classical Indian Flutist, when he came by to lay down some tracks for Carrie’s “Guru Stotram” and “He Ma Devi Ma.”

MOMENTOUS CHANGE

I am excited to announce the release of my new album, ‘Momentous Change.’ It is currently available as a digital download and as an authentic hand made, limited edition package full of keepsakes which I brought home with me from Rishikesh, India. (pictured above!)

The album was recorded and mixed at The Micro Studio, and features a huge line up of friends family and collaborators.

BHAKTI FEST

My summer show schedule is filling up, and amidst my own solo performances, I am supporting a few other great artists. Kirtan Wallah, Carrie Grossman is one of them.

I am excited to announce that we will be ending the summer with a bang, performing in Joshua Tree, CA, at Bhakti Fest, a 4 day yoga and music festival that features other great Kirtan performers like Jai Uttal, Krishna Das, and Snatam Kaur.

I will keep posting updates as a west coast tour leading up to the festival develops!

HERE AT LAST!

Welcome to my new home on the web! Much has happened in the last couple of years, and 2011 was jam packed. I returned to the Berkshires from New York City, re-opened The Micro Studio, and spent most of the year producing my new album ‘Momentous Change.’

After a 2 month hiatus in India, the new record is ready, and I’ve made it available as a gift set with some keepsakes that I collected along the way, from Rishikesh, India. Check it out in the shop

I’ve been working with a handful of other artists recording, performing, and producing new work. In addition, I had my first licensing spot when creative arts network Plum TV used the song 52nd Street Queen. Check out Music & Film to see my past work.
